811 Labels

LEM manufactures 811 Call Before You Dig Labels in individual formats, the 811 logo, or in combination with larger labels such as transformer labels and utility equipment labels.

The 811 label, originated by the Common Ground Alliance, provides the notification service, of any intent to dig, to local utility companies nationwide. Some utility lines may be buried at a shallow depth, and an unintended shovel thrust can cause potentially dangerous and/or costly consequences, service disruptions and potential fines and repair costs. An 811 call will alert the utilities to send a locator to job sites involving earth excavation to mark the approximate location of underground lines, pipes and cables, safeguarding citizens and construction personnel who work around utilities, as well as safeguarding the underground infrastructure of pipes, mains and lines which bring utilities to the
community.

LEM’s 811 labels are printed with fade-resistant inks on outdoor durable vinyl with permanent adhesive.
