Equipment Manufacturers

LEM manufactures customized labels and tags for Original Equipment Manufacturers to their specifications and application needs. We work directly with equipment manufacturers to fulfill their identification needs for part identification labels and nameplates, control panel faceplates, instructional labels, control mechanism identification markers, calibration labels, regulatory labels, pressure-sensitive numbers and letters and all-weather decals.

The products LEM manufactures for OEM’s are used by a large variety of equipment manufacturers for products as diverse as electrical transformers, wind turbines, military tanks and airplanes, container ships and pleasure boats, cranes and hoists. The sizes and shapes of these products are designed to exact dimensions for a perfect fit with the manufacturer’s parts. Proofs and samples are made to ensure the proper fit which is critical to the OEM.

Product Kits

Label kitting is an easy idea that saves time and hassle and is a best practice for LEAN manufacturing.   All the labels that must be adhered to a piece of equipment or machinery are printed on a single sheet or assembled in a kit that is so easy to use that training workers takes minutes.

The lack of a single label can bring an entire assembly line to a halt!. If that label is a mandated safety warning and it’s out of stock, production must stop until a fresh supply arrives.  Manufacturers who use a label kitting system don’t have this problem because the required labels are arranged on a sheet in the order they are to be applied or assembled in a kit. As the label kits travel down the assembly line the labels are applied in order eliminating any confusion about the order of application. When the item is completely assembled, the label kitting sheet or kit will be empty.

If your business is not yet using label kitting, now is a good time to consider incorporating it into your assembly line. Label kitting can boost efficiency, trim costs and minimize the potential for liability claims.

Our customer service and sales support team will work with you to determine the best kitting option to make your assembly line operation even better.

Marine Labels

LEM’s marine products are premium permanent outdoor labels for the boating and marine industry for mounting on a variety of surface conditions and textures. From smooth to embossed, for safety or emissions applications, these products have been tested to provide the highest level of durability and performance. We meet all applicable boating standards, including ANSI Z535.4 (the uniform national standard for product warnings), and our engineering department is familiar with Coast Guard safety laws and requirements, as well as ABYC T5. LEM is the supplier of choice for global pleasure boat manufacturers, commercial trade vessels, military craft, cruise ships, and pontoon boats. Our marine labels are available online through our approved distributor at www.boatlabels.com

The graphics on LEM’s marine labels are protected by a UV durable wear layer.  They stay clean and bright for years.  The  adhesive meets the requirements of marine long-term applications.  It offers temperature resistance to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees celcius) and excellent solvent resistance.  Peel adhesion values are outstanding on metals and high surface energy (HSE) plastics and adheres to rough, textured or embossed surfaces.

LEM also provides metal capacity plates which display the legal weight capacities for boating including passengers, fuel and cargo.   These metal plates also display the boating manufacturer, style and model number and size.  The US Coast Guard requires these plates on monohull boats under 20 feet in length.

LEM’s marine labels cover a wide range of warnings, cautions and labeling requirements for controls and components including warnings about carbon monoxide inhalation from proximity to motors to propeller dangers and cooking appliance safety procedures, warnings against improper discharge of oil and fuels, mayday procedures and much more .  Safety marine labels are manufactured for every inch, device, control and procedure to maintain safety at sea.

LEM Products, Inc. is a member of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC).
